Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alcheon ("the Service"), including the MCP server, API, website, and any associated tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

"You" refers to any individual or entity accessing the Service. "We", "us", and "our" refer to Alcheon and its operator.

2. The Service

Alcheon is a design intelligence platform that analyses publicly available websites to extract design patterns, color palettes, typography systems, and component structures. This data is made available through:

  • An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for AI coding assistants
  • A REST API for programmatic access
  • A web interface for browsing and exploring design data

All website analysis is performed on publicly accessible content only. We respect robots.txt directives and honour content removal requests.

3. API Keys & Access

API keys are issued to individuals for personal or professional use. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure and must not share it publicly or embed it in client-side code.

  • Free tier keys are subject to rate limits as documented on the status page.
  • Credit packs may be purchased to increase rate limits. Credits are non-refundable once used.
  • We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are used in violation of these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scrape, mirror, or redistribute the extracted design data in bulk
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label access to the Service without written permission
  • Use automated tools to overload or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service's proprietary components

5. Intellectual Property

The Alcheon platform, including its analysis algorithms, data structures, MCP tools, website, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Alcheon.

Design data extracted from third-party websites remains the intellectual property of the respective website owners. Alcheon provides analytical observations about publicly visible design choices — it does not claim ownership of the underlying designs.

If you are a website owner and wish to have your site's data removed, please use our content removal request form.

6. Output Ownership

Design briefs, synthesis outputs, and section inspiration generated by Alcheon's AI tools are provided for your use. You may use these outputs in your projects without restriction. Alcheon does not claim ownership of AI-generated outputs produced in response to your queries.

However, outputs are generated based on analysis of third-party designs. You are responsible for ensuring your implementations do not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.

7. Availability & Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Current system status is available at alcheon.dev/status.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of design data extracted from third-party websites.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and any unused credits will be forfeited.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please contact us via the contact page.
